Hey bloggers!
When I did the Loving- kindness activity, many thoughts came to mind and had some thoughts about myself and people who I am surrounded by. The activity on page 93 is very similar to my daily prayer. I often pray for not just for things that I want personally for myself, but I pray for the people in my life and the world so that it may be free of suffering, free of sadness, burdens, pain, and sickness. When I normally do this, I feel better about myself, because it is always good to me to pray for others and not only for yourself. When you show God that you are humble, and not self-centered he helps you with your own troubles at the right time. I love the fact that I am involved in the health and wellness program where my courses teaches me new ideas on how to take care of not only my health but the health of others in a holistic, integral approach.
Moreover, when I think about what aspect of my life that needs development, I would have to say psycho-spiritual. Although I am a people-person, and usually go out my way to make others happy or satisfied, I have a hard time focusing on myself, which often leads me to feel stressed out because by the time the day is over, I realized that I didn't do anything for myself, and often that is not in my favor. So in order to be satisfied or at least happier in my life, I feel like I need a break from others sometimes in order to focus on me and get things done. Besides meditation, I can also take my time to take notes in a journal and jot down what did I do for others and what did I do for myself in the day, if it's imbalanced, I will make note of it and write down the feeling/emotions that came along with my daily experiences. This will help me regroup and set my priorities straight. and eventually, be stress free.
